I’m Jackie Harris, a dog photographer based in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains in Colorado. My heart lies in both pet and wildlife photography. I wish there was more time in the day for both. I’m a firm believer that, regardless of the subject, it’s worth getting up early to capture the gorgeous morning light for the best pictures.
Understanding dogs and their unspoken language is what sets me apart from other photographers. My ultimate goal is to capture a dog’s beauty and personality and create artwork that will bring joy long after a treasured friend is gone.
My love of pet photography started with photographing my own pack and evolved into photographing dogs in all stages of life – newborn puppies, show dogs, house dogs and athletes. When I am not photographing dogs or showing my dogs, I love to travel and capture wildlife in their natural environment. Photographing wildlife in surroundings beyond my control deepens my appreciation of the magic when proper lighting, composition and the beauty of an animal come together.
Being proud of the images I create for my clients is my priority. Limiting the amount of sessions I schedule allows me to concentrate on doing what I love and be grateful for the what the client chooses to order.
What makes my world go ’round? My husband and three miniature schnauzers. Our lives are usually chaotic with three adult kids, their spouses and three very active grandchildren that live close by.
Enough about me. I can’t wait to meet you and your pack to create masterful art of your memories!
